The Pinellas Park Mounted Patrol Unit was established in 2002. Officers assigned to the mounted unit will utilize horses for patrol purposes. They project a positive image to the community and are a valuable resource in crowd control and public safety. The mounted unit  is comprised of both sworn officers and volunteers. Civilian members play a vital role in crime prevention and education in public safety. This combination makes the Pinellas Park unit an intergral part of the community.
