2008 HURRICANE SEASON:
Hurricane season is approaching and the Mounted Unit is taking a proactive stance, working with the city and equestrian community to ensure we are prepared in the event of an emergency. As you know we have instituted the call tree (thank you Cheryl) and are looking to expand our ability to communicate with our members and our equine community. To this end we would like to compile a list of addresses to go along with our call tree. If you keep your horse at an address other than your residence we would also like your horses address (barn name, address and phone). In this way should we have an emergency we can check on both you and your horse and ensure you receive any aid you might require. Please be assured these will remain confidential. If you have concerns or questions please contact Patti Fiedler for clarification.
VOLUNTEER HOURS:
Please remember to keep track of your hours and submit them to Luana on a regular basis. She is the point person and will be responsible for submitting everyones hours in the required format. We need to separate our training vs patrol vs event hours. Please forward your 2008 hours to Luana for submittal. You can email them at lmarvin@tampabay.rr.com or contact her for other options. There is a template available for anyone interested.
All donations are greatly appreciated. If you know anyone that wants to donate something, tell them it is tax deductible. Checks get made to the “Pinellas Park Police Department” for the Mounted Unit. Receipts for tax purposes are available upon request.
